More of the work

The East Entrance renovation

The East Entrance renovation, including a redesign of the Welcome wall, is one of the improvements that shapes how Somersett looks to residents and visitors every day.

The town square and amphitheater

The $1.5M town square and amphitheater, also called the Town Plaza, will put the vacant lots at the front of the community to use. It went through resident workshops and a formal vote of the residents living within 500 feet, and the construction contract was awarded on July 29, 2026.

Neighborhoods working together

The SOA brought the Village (agreement in July 2023) and the Vue (agreement in October 2023) under SOA management. Most recently, SOA management of Sierra Canyon began on July 1, 2026. Hal Lenox, Jacob Williams, and Clint Maples were the board subcommittee that negotiated the Sierra Canyon agreement.

Resident privacy

The board adopted a drone use policy in open session on August 27, 2025. It protects resident privacy: the drone may not be used for compliance enforcement, and residents are notified of flights.
